To be able to channel Reiki you need to attend a First Degree course, which usually takes place over a weekend. During the course you will receive four attunements which clear the healing channels and enable the Life Force Energy to flow through you. The empowerment is there for life. You will also practice giving yourself and others healing treatments under the supervision of the Reiki Master.
Deep spiritual, emotional and physical adjustments are set in motion by the attunements to Reiki. Practising Reiki every day and honouring the principles, as taught by Dr. Usui, fills your heart with the light of unconditional love for all life.
It is a gradual process like the unfolding of rose petals in the warmth of the sun.
After the course you will be able to channel the healing energy to those who wish to receive it and, more importantly, you will be able to work on yourself towards greater balance within.
When you have experienced the joy of Reiki in your life for some time you may wish to advance your healing capacity by attending a Second Degree course, also usually over a weekend. This includes two further attunements and the teaching of techniques for absent healing. This can take place across time and space.
Reiki is a wonderful tool to help develop ones spiritual awareness and harmonise the body's natural energies. It may be the very key to enlightenment. As with most things in life Reiki must be experienced to be properly appreciated
